Strategic Intent

Project Intention

DPIRD engaged Questa as a Partner Facilitator to help in conducting the process of reviewing the Strategic Intent for the agency, established for the period of 2018-2021.

They wanted to engage the staff in reflecting on how their work had been supported by the current Strategic Intent, identifying any gaps, thinking about the strategic challenges of the future (internally and externally) and generating insights and language to be used to update the intent.

Project Outcomes

Questa worked in partnership with DPIRD, supporting the Strategy & Coordination team to review and refresh the agency’s Strategic Intent by:

  1. designing and facilitating workshops, identifying key themes and insights from those discussions and training frontline managers to host sessions with their own teams across WA;
  2. identifying key themes and insights to guide the crafting of the new Strategic Intent (Phase I);
  3. designing/delivering workshops for leaders; and
  4. developing a managers’ guidebook and toolkit to help embed the new Strategic Intent for 2022-2026 (Phase II).
